This presentation marks the final step of Jessica's doctoral research: As part of the ARTikulationen Symposium at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Jessica will present the results of her artistic research project The Musical Dyad - on Interplay in Duo Settings.

Artistic Research is a new and highly innovative field for gaining knowledge, which combines artistic accomplishment with academic practice. For this, complex artistic experiments created to answer musical questions are central, as well as other questions that are systematically engaged in a dialogue with reflection, analysis and other academic methods. The artistic research festival ARTikulationen has a duration of 2,5 days and is organized by the Artistic Doctoral School (KWDS) of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz since 2016. The special essence of artistic research – audible results achieved through a methodological founded dynamic between art and science – becomes perceptible and comprehensible for the audience in this pioneer-format.
